WATERBURY - Jeannette S. Malich age 89 of Waterbury passed away peacefully surrounded by the love and comfort of her family at Saint Mary’s Hospital on Tuesday January 2, 2018. She was the widow of the late Ajaz Malich.
Jeannette was born in Waterbury on August 26, 1928 the daughter of the late Adam and Remzie (Velisha) Sadik. She was a graduate of Wilby High School and was a lifetime resident of Waterbury’s south end. Jeannette spent several years working as an administrative assistant at Kaynor Technical High School and after raising her family, she returned to work as an administrative assistant for the Mattatuck Museum. She was an avid stamp collector and enjoyed crossword puzzles.
Among her survivors are her children Jeffrey Malich of Waterbury, and Sharon Hendricks and her husband Eric of Glastonbury, and their children Cameron and Jake. She is also survived by her brother James Sadik and his wife Flora of Woodbury, and family, and her sister Rosalie Manacek of Suffield, and family. She is predeceased by her sister Nimet Sadik.
In addition to Drs. Koliani, Tiyyagura and Kelly and their staffs, Jeannette’s family would like to recognize and thank Diana and colleagues at WCAAA and the staff at Help Unlimited for their support and assistance.
A memorial gathering for Mrs. Malich will be held on Sunday January 7, 2018 from 12:00 to 2:00pm at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd, Waterbury, CT.
